Terms and Conditions
In order to book with Cali Pets, you must agree to the following terms so we can best serve you and your pet:
- I agree to inform Cali Pets of ANY pre-existing medical conditions and allergies and understand that Cali Pets will not be held responsible for these conditions.
- I agree to allow Cali Pets staff to assess my pet’s condition at check-in. This includes but is not limited to my pet’s skin (bumps, hot spots and infections), coat (matting and fleas), ears (infection, hair growth, and debris), nails (cracked, brittle or broken nails), teeth (plaque/tartar and/or inflammation of gums).
- I agree to inform Cali Pets if my pet is pregnant, nursing, NOT spayed or neutered, or has health concerns or allergies. All pets must have current rabies and Bordetella vaccinations to receive services at Cali Pets.
- In the case of emergency, I authorize Cali Pets staff to transport my pet to the nearest veterinarian immediately.
- I agree to flea removal if fleas are found on my pet before or during my pet’s service at Cali Pets. Flea larvae, fleas, or ticks must be removed so they do not spread to other pets in the salon. $10.00 will be added to your service charge because a flea bath requires extra time and specialty product.
- I agree to safe mat removal if matting is present on my pet. Your pet's coat will be assessed when you drop off and matting will be discussed if applicable. If your pet has mats, your groomer will attempt to brush them out, but if this becomes too uncomfortable for your pet, we reserve the right to shave out the mats. Matting requires careful removal and extra time. The cost for mat removal is $15.00 per 1/4 HR with a maximum of 1 HR. If your pet's matting will take more than 1 hour to brush out, your groomer will have to shave out the mats to prevent unnecessary pain and stress to your pet. I agree that matting cannot be left on my pet because matting causes health problems like infection and cutting off blood flow to the skin.
- I certify that my pet is not overtly aggressive towards people or other dogs. Cali Pets does not accept aggressive pets. If your pet shows aggressive behavior towards staff members or other dogs, Cali Pets reserves the right to use a muzzle for up to 15 minutes or stop the service (charges for work completed will still apply). Kennels are available for pets that are shy or do not like to be around other pets. I agree to inform the staff if my pet would prefer to be alone.
- I agree that Cali Pets staff can kennel or separate my pet if he/she is bothering other pets or urinating/marking in the salon or on other pets.
- I agree that my pet will be sent home if he/she shows signs of illness including but not limited to coughing, seizures and/or repeated vomiting or defecating.
- I agree to take my pet to the bathroom before his/her appointment.
- I agree to pick up my pet promptly. To maintain a comfortable cage-free environment for everyone, pets left more than an hour past pick up time will be subject to a $20 Special Handling Fee. When your pet is almost ready, a staff member will contact you via your method of choice and give you a 15-30 minute heads up.
- I agree to notify Cali Pets within 48 hours of services if I have any concerns with services performed.
By checking this box, I certify that I, the Pet Parent or Guardian, agree to these terms in order to book an appointment and receive any service at Cali Pets Salon.
